Wrinkled Shield Pluteus phlebophorous (Ditmar) P. Kumm. (illustrated 45% life size) Cap 2–4cm across, convex; sooty brown at first, becoming yellowish-brown veined. Stem 30–60×2–4mm; very pallid flesh-coloured. Flesh pale cream; taste and smell slight. Gills free; pink. Spores 5–7×4.5–6¼. Spore print pink. Habitat on stumps or litter in broad-leaved woods; summer to autumn. Occasional. Not edible avoid.
