Elastic Oysterling Panellus mitis (Pers.) Singer syn. Pleurotus mitis (Pers.) Quél. (illustrated 40% life size) Cap 0.5–1.5cm across, fan-shaped, horizontal; white, becoming clay-pink; pellicle separable. Stem 5–10×3–5mm, lateral, flattened; whitish; covered in white, mealy granules. Flesh white; taste mild. Gills crowded, with gelatinous edge; white to cream. Spores 3.5–5×1–1.5¼, cylindrical; amyloid. Spore print white. Habitat on coniferous twigs; early autumn to early winter. Occasional. Not edible.
