Lentaria afflata (Lagger) Corner syn. L. delicata Fr. (illustrated 90% life size) Fruit body up to 3cm high, branched to several ranks; whitish, becoming flushed pink or ochraceous. Spores 4.5–6×2.5–3¼, ellipsoid; white. Habitat on rotting wood; autumn. Unknown edibility. Note Lentaria is in the main a tropical genus, and is very rare in Europe, endangered on Red Data List. It now seems well established in at least one site in the south of England, on a pile of weathered sawdust and rotting wood, where it has been collected in successive years.
