Anthracobia macrocystis (Cooke) Boud. (illustrated life size) Cup 1–3mm across, shallowly disc-shaped then flattened, sessile; inner surface bright yellowish-orange, outer paler, dotted brown towards margin by fine, downy hairs. Spores 16–18×7–8¼, oblong-ellipsoid, smooth, containing 2 oil drops. Asci 200×15¼. Habitat in swarms on burnt ground; summer to autumn. Occasional. Not edible.
