Bog Beacon Mitrula paludosa Fr. (illustrated just over life size) Fruit body 1–4cm high, fertile head ovoid or club-shaped; smooth yellow to orange, stem white. Spores 10–15×2.5–3¼, cylindrical-ellipsoid. Asci 150×8¼. Habitat on rotting twigs and leaves in damp ditches or amongst sphagnum; spring to summer. Occasional. Not edible.
