Microglossum viride (Pers.) Gillet (illustrated 60% life size) Fruit body 1–5cm high, 0.2–0.5cm wide. Fertile head club-shaped, deeply furrowed; olive-green; smooth. Stalk paler than head, distinctly scurfy. Spores 15–20×5–6¼, cylindrical to fusiform, containing large oil drops. Asci 150×10¼. Habitat often in dense clusters amongst moss in deciduous woods; autumn. Occasional. Not edible.
