Caraway

Caraway seeds (Carum carvi) go into the making of Dhana Jiru (; also called dhansak masala), a compound powdered spice. Otherwise, they don’t appear much in Parsi cooking except in cakes, biscuits, and vasanu, a wintertime fortifier made with seeds and spices.
