Dates

Parsis love all dried fruits and nuts, a category known as meva, but we have a particularly long connection with the date (Phoenix dactylifera). Hard, dry dates, kharak, are used in making wedding pickle; softer ones, for my favorite Parsi pastry, khajur ni ghari.
