The seeds may not be used much in Parsi cooking, but the pale gold oil is very popular for cooking and pickle making. This type of sesame oil is not to be confused with the toasted seasoning oil sold at East Asian markets. Sesame oil from South India is sold as gingelly oil. Cold-pressed sesame oil can be found at natural food stores or Indian groceries. Like any oil, it should be bought only where there is quick turnover.
