Garlic

Probably the most popular flavouring of all, the garlic bulb is sold fresh or dried into flakes and powder. It has a pungent taste and smell and can be used in virtually any savoury dish according to taste. It goes particularly well with parsley and mushrooms and is used in bread, mayonnaise and salt.
