Spiral-shaped pasta popular in southern Italy. They are frequently called eliche (helixes). Fusilli are called turciniateddi e fusiddi in Sicily, ricci di donna in Calabria, and incannulate in Apulia. Fusilli are suitable for rich creamy sauces with meat or vegetables.
