Caramelizer This is used for caramelizing sugar on top of pâtisserie and originally was an iron that would have been placed into the fire. Technological advances created this electric version.
Matchatea whisk (chasen) A bamboo whisk with fine bristles to whisk and dilute the Matcha powder.
Matcha Tea spoon (chashaku) (also called tea scoop) A bamboo spoon to measure the powdered tea into the tea bowl. Not the same size as a Western teaspoon.
Chausson cutter A specialist pastry cutter in an oval shape specifically for the Chausson au Pommes.
