Edamame are immature, green soybeans. They have a mild flavor and are available still in their fuzzy, green pods or pre-shelled. You can find them fresh, but they’re most often found in the freezer section of grocery stores. Edamame, like soybeans, provide complete protein but soybeans are more nutritionally dense (more calories, protein, fat, and carbs).
