  • About
The most common plating style used in restaurants today, free-form plating intersperses a few different elements for a colorful and rhythmic presentation. Items are usually alternated from one end of a plate to another. Think of baskets or tapestries, with a sort of woven and patterned effect on the plate. Long rectangular plates and zigzag linear sauces are in heavy rotation for free-form presentation.
