Gala

This apple originated in New Zealand as a result of crossing the English Cox Orange Pippin with both of the Delicious varieties, Red and Golden. The apples are a soft yellow color with pinkish streaks. They are very attractive and good for eating out of hand, but only fair for cooking. Season: Year round in most markets.
