  • About

Originally from Canada and developed at the start of the 1800s, the apple is named for the man who discovered it, John McIntosh (see history). It is medium in size and greenish yellow with red streaks. McIntosh apples have a nice, tart, juicy bite but are not a good choice for cooking. Season: Year round.
