The fingers are 6 to 8 inches (15 to 20 cm) in length; the fruit is sweet tasting, with a creamy yellow skin. These do not store as well as some of the other Cavendish varieties, such as giant Cavendish. Although these require a great deal of care to prevent bruising during shipping, the fruit’s immunity to Panamanian wilting disease has made it the most popular commercial variety today.
