Also known as manzano or apple banana (manzano is Spanish for “apple”). The fingers are 4 to 5 inches (10 to 12.5 cm) in length, with thin yellow skin. The flesh has a good flavor, with a hint of apple. The bananas must be fully ripe before they can be eaten, or they tend to have an astringent taste.
