  • About

A perennial plant (Chamaemelum nobile) whose daisylike flower heads have a soft aroma of lemon and pineapple. The flowers are used to make tea to calm the nerves. The European plant (Anthemis nobilis) was used by ladies of the Victorian era to brew a tea thought to restore failing health and vigor. Herb gardeners sometimes also grow German or sweet chamomile, which is similar, but slightly stronger.
