A variety of citron also known as the fingered citron. It is used more for ornamental purposes than in cooking, but its highly unusual, almost scary, formation makes it an entertaining choice for a fruit display, as it always attracts attention. The tentacles of this unusual citron variety are used in same way as the main citron crop, in mixtures for fruitcakes and the like.
