  • About

A wild berry that grows in cool northern climates such as New England, Canada, and Scandinavia. Related to the blackberry, it is similar to the raspberry in appearance. It starts out pink but turns a yellow-amber shade. Because they are tart, cloudberries are not suitable to eat raw but are primarily used for jams. They are favored for baking in Scandinavia. The cloudberry is also referred to as bake-apple berry, yellow berry, and mountain berry.
