Cowberry

A member of the cranberry family (Vacccinium vitis-ideae), this red tart berry grows in mountain regions and pastures in the northern United States, northern Europe, and Canada. It is used in preserves, jams, and sauces. Also know as mountain cranberry and red whortleberry.
