  • About

Also known as hairy melon and fuzzy squash. Native to China, this cylindrical melon can grow to 10 inches (25 cm) in length and 3 inches (7.5 cm) in diameter. It has a medium green fuzzy skin (which must be peeled before the melon is used). The firm flesh has a bland flavor and is primarily used in Chinese cooking.
