  • About

Also known as honey wine or sima, this drink is made from fermented honey or sugar mixed with water, yeast, raisins, and, sometimes, lemon. It is one of the world’s most ancient alcoholic drinks. It was favored in Old England and many Indo-European languages contain a similar word with a meaning comparable to “sweet alcoholic drink.”
