Originated in Connecticut. This is a large fruit with yellow skin, blushed with red, and very little fuzz. Once a top commercial variety, it transports very well and is still the most common variety for distant commercial shipping. It has good flavor and nonstringy, juicy flesh. Freestone. Season: Mid to late.
