Santa Rosa

The most famous of the plums created by Luther Burbank, who lived and worked in Santa Rosa, California. This large fruit has crimson skin and yellow flesh that is purple near the skin. It is firm and has a juicy, slightly tart flavor. Variety: Japanese; early season, although there is also a late Santa Rosa variety.
