  • About

A fortified wine originally produced in the Spanish city of Jerez, for which sherry is named. Sherry is produced using a blend of grapes and is classified in categories including fino (a pale and dry variety that is matured with yeast), amontillado (a medium sherry; darker and older than fino), and oloroso (either dry or sweet; dark in color and aged as with fino, but without yeast; sometimes labeled cream or golden.)
