  • About

Any of a large group of aromatic plants whose bark, roots, seeds, buds, or berries are used as a flavoring. Spices are usually available dried, either whole or ground. They are differentiated from herbs, which are the edible leaf portion of a plant only. See listings for individual spices and herbs.
