  • About

A muskmelon variety, this large, frosted green melon has the appearance of an overgrown honeydew. A fruit by genus, this melon is largely used as a vegetable in Asian cooking. The white flesh tastes somewhat like a zucchini. Winter melons are available year round in Asian and specialty markets. The flesh is usually parboiled before being stir-fried or used in soups.
