Springerle rolling pin

Carved rolling pin used for making springerle cookies or decorative marzipan pieces. The same types of designs that appear on individual springerle molds are carved into a rolling pin instead. When the pin is rolled firmly over the dough, the designs are imprinted. The cookies are cut apart before baking.
