  • About
A deep container, made of tinned steel or earthenware, used as a mold for making Christmas plum pudding or other traditional steamed puddings. The tinned-steel molds are commonly formed with fluted and sculpted sides, or with plain sides and a scalloped top. The earthenware molds are deep, glazed bowls with a pronounced rim. Some molds have a tube in the middle and a lid or cover that may be clamped onto the base.
