Cherries are a breeze to freeze. I generally take the time to pit the cherries before freezing to save myself the headache later. Beyond that, just lay them out on a baking sheet to individually freeze before transferring to a resealable bag for later use. Large-scale fruit processors do a good job of pitting, individually freezing, bagging, and storing cherries so you donβt have to. To be honest, I almost always use frozen cherries in place of fresh ones except in the raw recipes, so feel actively encouraged to do the same.
