A bundle of aromatics composed of fresh thyme, parsley stalks, bay leaves, lemon zest as well as other flavourings that may complement a particular dish; traditionally, a bouquet garni often included celery stalk. The contents are wrapped in muslin cloth and tied with kitchen twine or simply tied together.
