A fruit sold in clusters as they grow on the tree, and tied up in hundreds. They are half-an-inch to one inch in diameter, green on the outside, with a very hard outer shell that you crack open in with a fingernail or sharp point. The glistening yellow-beige pulp has an acid sweet taste that is sometimes astringent at the end.
