Also known as tamarillo or tree tomatoes, it is a yellowish red fruit with yellow to orange pulp. Oval-shaped and one to two inches in length. The flavor ranges from slightly acid to sweet. It is used mainly for the production of juice. Nowadays there is a cross with berries that produces a more red variety that is also very rich in flavor.
