Fascinators, Gloves and Hats

Ms Marmite Lover's Secret Tea Party: Exquisite recipes for ultimate afternoon teas

  • About
I’ve had ladies arrive with gorgeous fascinators, a smaller version of a hat, which perches jauntily on the side of the head. I have quite a collection of fascinators. Nobody can ignore you if you wear a hat.

It is a pity that nobody wears gloves these days except Madonna, who wears bizarre leather driving gloves (probably to hide the fact that her hands don’t match her face in terms of earth years) and Dot Cotton of Eastenders, who is one of the best-dressed women on TV. But gloves are the sort of thing you could absolutely wear to an afternoon tea party. White or pale kid gloves would certainly add to a general atmosphere of elegance and daintiness.
