long beans Widely used in Asia, long beans (also called yard-long beans) look like very elongated green (snap) beans and taste quite like them, but are actually more closely related to black-eyed peas and cowpeas. They cook a little more quickly than most snap beans. They are used both raw and cooked in Southeast Asian cuisines.
