I avoid refined sugar, preferring to rely on unprocessed and natural sweeteners. Along with dates, I like to use coconut sugar. I also include options for sugar alternatives in many of my recipes, such as Erythritol, a popular keto sugar alternative great for diabetics and those reducing their sugar intake.
If you aren’t watching your sugar intake, you can always use regular (organic) white sugar, cane sugar, or brown sugar.
