Thai Basil

Also known as Asian basil, this is thought to be the original basil. The two varieties of Thai basil are ‘sweet’, which has a flavour closer to Italian basil but is not as pungent; and ‘hot’ or ‘holy’ basil, which is used fried crisp in curries, stir-fries and soups.
