Sara Lee

Sara Lee, one of the best-known producers of refrigerated and frozen baked goods in the United States, became famous for such products as pound cakes, coffee cakes, and New York–style cheesecake. The company’s memorable and long-running slogan, “Everybody doesn’t like something, but nobody doesn’t like Sara Lee,” was written by Mitch Leigh, composer of the musical Man of La Mancha. Operating around the globe and now encompassing far more than baked goods and breads, Sara Lee’s major brand-name products include Ball Park Franks, Chef Pierre pies, Hillshire Farm meats, State Fair foods, and Jimmy Dean foods.
