Starting at 3500 feet (1065 m), increase the baking temperature by 25 percent. For example, if your recipe calls for baking at 400°F (205°C), you should increase the temperature to 500°F (260°C) at 3500 feet (1065 m). The baking time should remain the same as at sea level, but you need to take care not to bake any longer than necessary to prevent the rapid evaporation that takes place at high altitudes.
