  • About
The shelf life of a chocolate depends on the conditions in which it was stored. If stored properly in a cool, well-ventilated, dry place, the typical shelf life of milk or white chocolate is 9 to 12 months. Due to its simpler ingredient list, the shelf life of dark chocolate is longer—approximately 12 to 18 months. Good hygiene practices, the correct treatment and storage of ingredients, and the water content in the product will have direct correlation to the product’s shelf life. The higher the water content of a product, the shorter its shelf life.
