A thick, sweet-sour syrup made from boiled-down pomegranate juice. Called narsharab in Central Asia, it’s commonly drizzled on grilled meats in Turkey, Iran, and the Central Asian Republics of the former Soviet Union. Pomegranate syrup is sold at Middle and Near Eastern markets.
