Many juicers and squeezers are available. The simple, cheap and efficient juicer, usually made of glass or plastic, has a ridged dome in the centre of the dish on to which halved fruit is pressed and twisted. ‘Teeth’ round the dome will not always hold back pips, so it is better to choose a juicer with a strainer that fits on to the base dish.
