This may be a simple wire basket that is shaken (outdoors) to remove excess water from salad leaves, or a plastic basket inside a covered bowl that spins like a top, using centrifugal force to expel the water. Plastic spinners are bulky, whereas wire baskets can usually be collapsed flat for more convenient storage, but plastic spinners require much less effort to use.
