  • About
These beautiful, nutritious oily fish are found in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, especially along the Maharashtra and Gujarat coasts. Best eaten as fresh as possible, they are usually marinated in a spicy paste and simply cooked on a barbecue or pan-fried, although they are also wonderful in spicy stews such as Mackerel Cooked in Coconut Milk.
