Okra, or ladies’ fingers, are one of the most commonly used vegetables in India.

Also known as ladies’ fingers, okra are one of the most popular and ubiquitous vegetables. These small, green, five-sided pods are indigenous to India. They have a distinctive flavour and a sticky, pulpy texture when they are cooked. To prepare, simply trim off the ends, rinse in a colander and use as directed in the method.
