Bombe

Bombe refers more to a shape than an actual dessert. A bombe has a demi-sphere shape that apparently looks like a bomb (its translation from the French). It is similar to a parfait but contains more whipped cream, so it is lighter. This bombe is not to be confused with a pâte a bombe.
