Handwritten on a parchment scroll, the Torah is the first five books in the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. It is also known as the Law and The Five Books of Moses. A portion of the Torah is read in the synagogue every morning on Sabbaths, Mondays, Thursdays, and festivals; completing the entire Torah cycle takes one year.
