Make the pudding cream, cake or savoury mixture required, and put it into its cake tin. Set this tin comfortably into a larger oven dish with adequate sides. Pour enough hot water into the larger oven dish to come about halfway up the sides of the smaller cake tin. Transfer carefully to the preheated oven to bake for the required time. You can add a few drops of lemon juice to the larger oven dish to prevent it from discolouring.
